Evan's Christmas Favorites!

Well another Christmas has come & gone. Since I fried my memory card, I can't bore you to death with pictures. I figured I would highlight some of Evan's favorite gifts this year.
The Hits - These were big winners from the word "go".
For Evan -
UNO Moo is his "favorite"! This takes the game UNOand makes it kid friendly. Instead of cards their are little plastic animals in different colors. On your turn you either match the color or the animal. Their are also Wild "farmers" and Draw Two "skunks". Evan got it on Christmas Eve and we played it ~ 100 times in the next two days. We left it at Nana's when we came home just to have a day or two of break! I would highly recommend this for 3-5 year olds. It's a quick fun game that they will love.
Leapfrog Tag Junior Curious George Set
I read reviews on the Leapfrog Tag Junior & I really thought it would be a great toy for Evan. He loves reading & he will often look through his books by himself. So far he loves the Tag Junior. He thinks it's super cool that he can read his books by himself. He also loves that the Tag Junior says "Hello Evan" and "Goodbye Evan". I like that if he touches a picture more than once it says something different & it also asks him questions. He interacts with it really well. I like that the set came with 2 books and a carrying case. The case looks like a house so we put the Tag Junior (or as Evan calls it "Mine guy") to bed every night. I bought him one more book & he has plenty to read. I will add a few more books to his collection as we go along. I think this is a great toy for 2 to 3 year olds.
Thomas Figure 8 Set -
Evan got his first taste of Thomas the Train this Christmas. He loves watching Thomas on TV but I always try to stay clear of the Thomas section at Toys R Us. Nana bought Evan the Figure 8 set & he loves it. I see millions of dollars of wooden train toys in my future. Eeep!
Melissa & Doug Chunky ABC Puzzle
Evan has a really good grasp of his colors and counting. ABCs....not so much. Santa brought him this super chunky and colorful ABC puzzle from Melissa and Doug. Since their are 26 pieces, it's a bit much for him to do all at once. He will do a few pieces and then do something else only to return to it a bit later. Hopefully it will help him tie sounds (from the pictures) with the look of his ABCs. So far, so good!
And as an extra....Here's one of my favorite presents of the season (birthday present but still)....
My Sony Reader Touch. I still have to figure out all the ins and outs of downloading books to it but I love it! I've already read about 1/2 of a book on it. I love that I can change the size of the font on the books. When I am rested it's great on small, when I'm tired I crank it up to Medium. It's a small thing but it's really cool. Dewey had some "issues" getting it up and running at the beginning but I've had no problems since. Oh...and did I mention that it's red? :) It was a tough decision between asking for a Touch versus a Kindle. I must say that I am happy with my Touch. My friend Erin got a Kindle so we'll be comparing notes I'm sure!
